The current main focus of the ALTA GROUP is the engineering, construction and commissioning of a pilot plant for cyclic carbonates. The start up of the pilot plant is expected in 2025. For this project, the ALTA GROUP invested in the development of a technology which produces green cyclic carbonates with CO2 as feedstock. The project is executed from start to finish by the ALTA GROUP and will produce a High Purity component for electrolytes that can be used ,among others,in the booming European battery industry. By using CO2 from waste streams of third parties in our process, we offer Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) to businesses that want to reduce their carbon footprint. The production process requires 80% less energy in comparison to similar existing manufacturing methodes. Summarizing, our project will produce sustainable, economically feasible and high quality products. Moreover, feedstocks we use can be of biogenic origin.
